Next-generation ASUS ZenWatch back on track for a Q3 2015 release, launching at Computex

ASUS CEO Jerry Shen revealed at an earnings conference that the second-generation ZenWatch will be unveiled next month at Computex, with retail availability slated for Q3 2015.

Shen said that his statement from earlier this month — where the executive mentioned that the ZenWatch 2 will not be ready until 2016 — was a "misunderstanding."
According to Focus Taiwan:
The launch timetable for the smartwatch running on Google Inc.'s Android Wear operating system "remains unchanged," Asustek CEO Jerry Shen told a press briefing after an earnings conference for investors.
The second-generation ZenWatch will be showcased at Computex Taipei, the world's second-biggest computer trade show, scheduled for June 2-6, with sales of the device to begin in the early third quarter, Shen said.
The ZenWatch 2 is expected to last for up to four days on a single charge, which is nearly double that of the first-generation variant. With Computex just over two weeks away, we don't have to wait long to find out what ASUS has in store with its upcoming smartwatch.
